2016 Reading Challenge

One resolution that was not mentioned in last weeks post was my yearly reading goal. On Goodreads you can set yourself a challenge of a number of books to read in a year. This year I have my goal set on 40, since last year I read 39 books. On the Bored to Death bookblog I read about some other Reading Challenges and I would like to tackle some.
I have a special corner in my bookcase for the books I haven’t read yet. As you can see in the image above, there are a lot of classics and even some little black classics, so I thought it would be fun to do the 2016 Classics Challenge and I even signed up! So expect a picture of a classic popping up on the blog or on instagram every month.
Another great reading challenge is the 2016 Mount TBR Reading Challenge to finally empty my corner (and fill it up with new books). I currently have 22 printed copies to read and a few more on my ereader, so I think my challenge will be called the Mount Blanc, the name for tackling 24 TBRs this year. To finish up my 40 books I think I will keep an eye on the Pop Sugar challenge, since they give great vague suggestions for books.
The first books I will be finishing this year are The Happiness Project and Girl Waits with Gun (the Bookclub read this month). What books are you planning to read this year? Do you have a number or just a TBR pile to tackle? I would love to hear from you in the comments below!
