Booktober

As I wrote in my previous post, I want to get back to writing. So this is the start! A friend of mine, Lianne from her blog Lianne van Roekel, is doing the ‘Boektober’ challenge and I thought I would join.
Boektober/Booktober is an idea from Dagmar Valerie who launched it to give people a little reading boost. So I thought I would join and see how far I will get. There is also a facebook page to join and more information is here. Although it is pretty straightforward: pick an amount of books and read them before the end of October!
So here is my plan for October:
- ‘The Taming of the Shrew‘ by William Shakespeare
- ‘Vinegar Girl ‘ by Anne Tyler
- ‘Sharp Objects‘ by Gillian Flynn
- ‘Lola Carlyle Reveals All‘ by Rachel Gibson
I am reading The Taming of the Shrew and Vinegar Girl for the Bored to Death book club meeting in November, so finishing on time is an extra motivator. I also really want to read ‘Sharp Objects’ since it is the only book by Gillian Flynn I haven’t finished yet and the same goes for ‘Lola Carlyle Reveals All’. I am planning on writing special posts dedicated to these two writers since, when I have finished those two books, I will have read every book they have written so far. So keep an eye out for that!
Do you have any books you want to read this month? Let me know in the comments below.
