#BBBookstagram challenge

#BBBookstagram challenge

I finished a bookstagram challenge! For those of you who are unaware; I started a seperate instagram account for bookish pictures called ‘Just Plain Books‘. Ever since I started I have wanted to try and finish a challenge. The ‘challenge’ is to post a picture a day inspired by the themes suggested by the instigator of the challenge. In this case I joined the #BBBookstagram challenge by Blossom Books, a Dutch publishing house dedicated to YA.

The challenge is pictured above, the only thing left to do was to make sure I had enough pictures and I would post them every day for the entire month of august.

My favorites

I thought I would share with you some of my favorite pictures. The other 28 you can find on my instagram.

The first one I want to share is this one for day 19 ‘Lievelingsauteur’. My faves are obviously Gillian Flynn and Jane Austen. Love me some female authors! I like this picture for the contrast between the black covers of Gillian Flynn and the gorgeous colored cloth bound Jane Austen books.

The next picture was for day 25: #supersidekick. I chose Nimona quite a few times for several pictures because it suits the themes of villains and sidekicks very well. I like this picture because it features my two super sidekicks as well as the book.

For day 28 ‘Never Enough’ I shared another coffee picture. You can never have enough of those!

Overall I really enjoyed doing this challenge. It was fun to search my bookshelves for the perfect book to suit the theme of the day and I had to do quite some planning to make sure I could post every day. In the end I was late for a few days, but I managed to do all 31. I definitely think I will do it again, but I don’t think I could post consistently every day for a whole year.

To end this short post I thought I would share an overview of (part of) my instagram and a question for you: would you ever participate in a challenge like this? Let me know in the comments below!
