Arriving in Milan
This week is very exciting. It is my first week in Milan!
I left the Netherlands on Monday. I flew from Eindhoven Airport with Ryanair and arrived in Milano Bergamo airport at 14.30. All went well with the flight (little bit bumpy, but we arrived on time). I thought it would take a lot of time to get the bags and get to the shuttle bus, but in the end it only took about 30 minutes to get off the plane, get the bags and get to the bus.
A picture of the surrounding of the airport in Milan. Lots of mountains visible, a sure sign I wasn’t in the Netherlands anymore.
The shuttle bus took me from the airport to the central station of Milano. From their I took a very old looking tram to the apartment where I would be staying.
There are still some things to sort out for the room, but if all goes well it will be mine on Friday. For now I am staying in someone else’s room.
In the evening me and my two roommates (both Spanish) went in search of the best pizza of Milan. But unfortunately all restaurants were closed, so we ended up eating at MacDonalds.
Yesterday I went for a walk in the city center to see some of the spots I remember visiting with my parents last summer. I walked to Duomo and had some tea on the top of La Rinascente (a very luxurious shopping center).
There is not much else to tell you, since it is only Wednesday now. The rest of the week is more administrative stuff and not doing much else, but on Monday I will start studying I think.
I will keep you updated! And if you have any questions, feel free to ask them.
