Thoughts: Q & A
I thought in between all the posts about books and reading challenges I thought I would post a little update in the form of a Q&A. So hopefully you can find some A’s to your Q’s regarding my blogging lately and if you have some Q’s of your own please feel free to ask them in the comments below!
So what’s up?
I have been working on my graduation project. It is a college year long project, which I started in September. I am now entering the final stages of my project and I hope to be sharing the final design on here as well. Besides studying I am also involved in some book clubs (Undercover Book Club and Bored to Death Book Club). I do the occasional DIY project and of course a lot of reading. If you want to know what I am up to, feel free to follow me on Instagram (here) where I try to post most things I made or am reading.
How come you are not posting regularly?
Graduating takes a lot of time and mental energy and I find that blogging has just taken a back seat for a while. However I do love to write, especially about books. So I am still going to post, just not as regularly as before.
Anything you keep recommending?
I sure do! There are a couple of things I keep recommending to people, so if you want to hear me mention them again, here you go:
If you are looking for a movie to go see, then I highly recommend Demolition (IMDb) by Jean-Marc Vallée with Jake Gyllenhaal and Naomi Watts. It is a movie I have already seen twice this year and I am thinking of seeing it again. Jake Gyllenhaal plays a widower who has problems showing emotion and who always tells people the truth, he starts demolishing things which turns into a way to deal with his grief.
If you are looking for a book to read, then read The Song for Achilles by Madeline Miller. I read it last year and I keep telling more people to read it. The Song for Achilles is about (you guessed it!) Achilles, it tells his story through the perspective of Patroclus, his best friend. There is a little bit of fantasy in it, with gods and such, but mostly it is a beautiful story about friendship, love and honor.
With regards to music I have been obsessed with the Hamilton soundtrack. Hamilton is a hiphop musical about Alexander Hamilton, one of the founding fathers of America. It sounds slightly odd, but the story is intriguing and the staging looks awesome. Unfortunately it is sold out until 2017 in America, but they are going to bring it to stage in the UK and Europe as well.
My current favorite coffee spot in Delft is the Koffie & Zo. Great place, great coffee and the owners are super nice. There is also a lot of vintage stuff for sale, so enough to look at while drinking coffee.
I hope that this Q&A has been a fun read. If you have any more questions, leave them in the comments below!
